When I was in the military I actually had to go on profile for flare ups and injuries (basically a doctor's note saying don't do heavy workouts). However a superior at one point sat me down in a chair and yelled at me and lectured me for an hour and said it was all in my head and that I was playing a game of doctor shopping for medications and probably about six of the fifteen on the list.

I am soooo happy to be out of that environment and hopefully getting some relief in my upcoming visit. RA takes enough out of people, but having comments like these makes it even more difficult sometimes.

So true... a penny for every time someone has told me about their friend who was cured by changing their diet, or told me which exercise program to start, or told me about their aches and pains that are just as bad as having RA. Or even worse, told me that my RA was CAUSED by my diet...
