Two-retreat option for 2011?

Time to bring up the topic that comes up every time. Each October, everyone starts feeling wistful about their Spring retreat experiences, and wishing they could gather one more time.

What I want to know about this is: are you all actually serious? If I booked a second "mini retreat" in October, would some of you actually attend?

This would not be the full-blown Bill Miller retreat (I just can't afford it, and as great as he is there are times we need just for different things, too). But we COULD do a sweatlodge, and I could get Tonya's literature professor to come in and do a workshop on "creative writing for people who hate journaling." This would be very low-key time together, for people who need that positivity in the Fall again.

Is this actually realistic, or when people say "I wish I could have a retreat in October!" is it JUST wishful talk?

OMG! Steht did you just call yourself " a shy or "slow to warm up" person"!?!?

Remember now, I rode with you for an hour to the retreat center.......you did not stop talking AT.ALL! bwahahahhaha... ok that's like calling me 'shy and slow to warm up'.

You need to pay attention to the Jewish Holidays in the fall. Yom Kippur falls in October. It is the holiest day in the Jewish religion.

Now that I know May is the "glam retreat", I'm rethinking my wardrobe...

Probably was nerves Steht. I learned alot about you, your husband, his job, your kids, their mud-running, one of your boys truck, the scratch on a vehicle that your SON did not put in the car...umm, the red dirt of Oklahoma, stuff like that.

I talk a lott when I am nervous too it's okay Sthet! I usually end up saying really dumb things! Like today I met a bunch of my brothers Frat friends from college. I decided it would be a good idea to inform them that for a whole year I though all mushrooms were hallucagenics so I didn't eat them untill someone informed me differently... How that came up? There was mushrooms on my pizza. Needless to say I do the rambling as well!

We would plan around Yom Kippur anyway--Tonya's writing professor is also Jewish, and already asked that we not ask her then.

Hey now.... I use 'glam' because they way you all go on and on it sounds very glamourous! I admit, it overwhelms me. Now maybe if there was a green and gold theme....that could get my attention! In all seriousness though, that is finals weekend and we are required to be available. However, my boss, being the counselor he is, can't hardly ever tell me no (don't tell him I know this). So I will see what I can do. ;-)

tI can't attend the retreat in May :( I would LOVE an October option, I'd be there if other people could make it work.

no...I can't. I'm really sad about it!!! I can't believe after being at 2 I'll miss the 3rd, of all ones to miss.
