Thing is, I have no idea what progress I'm making toward Oprah, so how do I ever update the darned thing? Just keep writing letters, I guess.

Well...since there is no predefined measure for that one...I guess you get to create your own! So in my mind, press exposure for the book is one step closer. The more buzz happens about the book, the more you are out there and there is a chance for her to want to reply to those letters and want to share your book with more people! Get a copy of that coverage and include it with a letter. Make many copies and keep mailing! Every letter is a little step.... or however you decide to chart the progress anyway...but I go with create your own measure! You know...like the create your own sundae...any way that you like it...there's no rules with this one, not that I know of anyway...but then again, I've also never been on Oprah. LOL!

I wish I could be there with my buds. You guys will do great!!!

Shannon, it's not an audition. You don't have to prove a thing, or satisfy anyone's standards. They'll take it slow, and they'll edit the best stuff. All they want from you is YOU--your ideas, your story (not "story" in the therapy sense; your recollections of what made this work for you, and what you wish other lost girls knew, that kind of thing). All you and I need to do is be ourselves; we don't need to talk like intellectuals or professors. We just gotta kid around, share memories, and let people know why this can work and there is hope for a way out.

You could do this in your sleep, and you frequently do. You'll look back at this with pride!

And Heckle, of COURSE I plan to record it!!

...Or S, did you mean you're nervous about the Cage Match of Death on UFC next month? 'Cuz yeah, you'll definitely screw that one up, sorry.
