I was able to take the kids to their school carnival earlier in the week and then I took them to the church carnival and TRUNK or TREAT on Halloween. They are still little so this was perfect. Chase is 4 and he went as Mario (from super Mario brothers). I will have to post pictures! Christian is 6 and he was Bumblebee from the Transformers and Liam (7) wanted to be the red PowerRanger with muscles -- that was the important part. wow. I just rummaged through my random clothes and added these really cool black and magenta wings to stuff I owned. I was thinking of one of the characters from the movie Delgo but people kept asking me if I was a angle. Really? shiny black pants, boots, black wings? Not any angle I every heard of...
But at least the candy was great this year. too much of it but the kids are skinny so hey... As long as they brush their teeth, why not?
And I'm all for protecting our world, but if environmentalism has produced any decent music, I have yet to hear it.
("All Along the Watchtower" and "Gotta Serve Somebody")
Best "environmental" music I know would be something like older Midnight Oil.
Hey and Phoenix, don't count any guitar playing guys out of the race yet...ya never know where the next prince charming will show up...just possibly in a recycled jumper;)
I have to admit I am guilty of having my 3 girls wear home made t-shirt (my youngest was 3 at the time) with a picture of farmland with the words "cow manure is healthy for corn, NOT KIDS" . It was HIT at the public hearing we were at and even made for a picture in the paper:) My older girls are now wearing T-shirts that I got from an environmental group in DC that has a cartoon fish hold a glass of water with the words "got clean water?" They LOVE it! And they will be wearing it to the next public hearing we go to especially if its in DC, the NY Times is covering that issue there!
REDUCE AND REUSE.....and please don't call me a tool:)
Nothing against environmental-themed songs either, just as long as they're good lmao!
