But I'm really glad this is up, and whoever is open about their experience, I hope will join to spread the word. This is fantastic. I did check it out already and I hope it grows quickly :)
Also an idea for all of you. I have no issues with being open about my rape. But to those of you that do, you could always say that you are a part of the group in support of someone you know who was raped.
I'm sure that James could (and should) make the discussions piece of the group private, that way our posts are even safer there than they would be on this website, where anyone can view them.
I just cant risk it coming up, sorry. I really dont care about co workers and friends, it's my family I've never said anything too and I don't intend on it.They are ALL on facebook, and sorry to say, my family kinda has a big mouth!! LOL
Several members of the RAINN Speakers Bureau and survivors/advocates associated with Rape Is Never Justified, Pandy's, and Holly's House have joined.
I can fully understand that some survivors will not be able to join due to a preference to keep their status as a survivor private. As I've been speaking and writing publicly for over a year now, privacy on this issue is long a thing of the past regarding my own experience. For those who can participate, I'll see you there! For those who can't, it is understandable and I hope to someday see you there.
