I don't have any bumper stickers....it's hot in Florida....and the glue....not only addictive, but....melts easily under intense heat. But, if I had a bumper sticker...one piece of adhesive-backed vinyl to sum up my entire politico-religio-social beliefs.....hmmmmmmmmm, what WOULD it say?

And Matt just so you know...that Pot smoking reference...from our sconsin call was all L-A-U-R-A. I happen to love bumper stickers...sad fact is the man I married is one of those guys who will say 'do you know what those stickers do to the finish of the vehicle..blah,blah (I won't bore you with those details, but he'd tell you if you really wanted to know) I want a bumper sticker that says.. "The passing lane is for cars that P-A-S-S, move the hell over!" or "Sconsin drivers are the best ....just ask On Star"

Pot smokers? I won't judge you if you won't judge me. Sconsin folk....we're a very liberal free-thinking people (oh and Matt..you can't fact check with your sister either....just look at our Gov..*gags* and our presidential voting record for the last 20 or so years.)

So...what do you guys think they meant by 'Democrat in Republican clothing"? Because to be honest...I'm not that political minded..except for this last election...which for the record...I got beat up from BOTH democrats AND republicans...that would be the last time I speak my mind on ANY political issue...I'm going back to the days where when someone asked me what I thought about the debate....who I thought did better...I would say, "Well I think Laura did a much better job picking out George's suit than Tipper did...so I pick Bush...plus Al Gore reminds me of someone I don't like very much he just looks like he'd be a jerk, so I'm voting Bust". I tell you that is the QUICKEST way to get out of a political discussion..and be guaranteed they will never broach the subject with you again.

Oh and Ross Perot would have made a great president...if he presented himself better. He talked like a "crazy' person, and didn't present himself well. My dream....an Independent candidate for president....

Judy, I think the phrase refers to the ironic contrast between the fact that you like Sarah Palin, yet devote your life to environmental causes that wouldn't interest her. Or the fact that you don't go for "traditional family values" when it comes time to buy into all that"submit to your husband" stuff.

For the record, I liked Sara Palin not for the fact that she likes to shoot wolves from helicopters, but rather she is a woman that proves that you can have kids and giving birth doesn't actually mean you've lost brain cells and can't have an intelligent conversation. (Palin haters don't start on her speaking style..ok...K!) The point was is that she is an example (political views aside) of women with familys can Accomplish..if they choose. Hate her political views all you want....hate the politician, but leave her family alone. Just because she chose not to abort a down syndrome fetus, does not mean she would repeal Roe Vs Wade...(not like anyone would ever be able to repeal it ever)...its the ridiculous comments made about Palin, by women...feminist women, that overlooked Palin herself IS living the feminist dream...work, family.etc. She's the main wage earner in her household...and she's going to push women's rights and voices back to the 50's?!....Whatever.

I listened to McCain/Palin at their rally in our town...they were awesome. I listened to Barack Obama at a similar rally a few weeks later here. He was fabulous....unfortunately...they are all FULL OF SHIT during those campaigns. Is Obama doing what he promised...nope..would McCain and Palin have kept theirs ..nope...so why do we get our undies in a bundle talking about it? LOL

Anyway, I like Palin...so. Maybe if we wanted a "perfect' combo..Me and Sara should run!!!! Cuz I can (almost) see canada from our cottage! Keeping an eye on them for all of you....your very welcome!

I came out as liberal, i.e. the state should just stay the hell out of peoples' personal lives and stick to , um, mis-managing the economy? OK, it sort of made sense at the time!

Unfortunately, there wasn't an option to check that says "all politicians are slimy, conniving bastards" - which is my usual default position on politics.
Always check first and see who stands to gain from what policy; then on that basis vote for the least morally repugnant option! (Eh, it works for me ........................)

I was a Centrist leaning towards the left. Can you believe that? But, if maybe wasn't a choice...I wonder.
