It was messed up for Butterfly, too. I also know that when I tried to reply to her journal, it wouldn't post at all...and then when I tried several more times, it suddenly posted the reply FIVE TIMES in a row! And messages I've sent people back from my inbox have never arrived to them, and I'd had no idea until days later when someone would write to me again to ask me to get back with them, and I learned that the messages I'd written a few days before had never gone through!

Yeah, DS must hate me.

Since I have no way of knowing which messages of mine have gone through or not, if anyone out there has been waiting on a reply and not gotten one please tell me! On my end, it looks like I'm all caught up and prompt on my message replies, and on other peoples' end it looks like I haven't written back at all.

Oh yeah, one more thing: this week, I'm not going to be very good at swift replies anyway. As you know, tomorrow is Tonya's surgery, and for the last 3-4 days or so we've been working like MANIACS to get ready, plus I've been trying to organize ten people from Oklahoma to go to a national conference (flights, hotels, perdiem, registrations, the works--so it's been a hectic time any way you look at it). Please don't worry if I'm slow on messaging for a while--that's the reason.

Ds pulls stuff like this regularly when i use my phone. They were down for maintenance last week and i couldn't access the home page on my computer or phone.

It's working on my computer now so it makes me wonder if maybe they are having browser compatibility issues following the maintenance or upgrade. Which would explain why it isn't a universal issue. Not that that helps you of course!

There was definitely a problem last week - triple postings or no postings at all. Frequent time-outs when trying to contact whatever server holds the personal account data. If you'd wait long enough it was clear that one of their internal proxy servers had become unreachable. It appeared to be restricted to personal account data and home page notifications.

Heptet, it applied to computers not just mobile devices. Later in the day the effects were more or less intermittent so perhaps you just logged in from the computer during an "uptime"?

All this points to a server side problem. If you've lost messages as well, my vote would be for some sort of database failure or database index corruption on the server that stores personal data. When they did a restore some of your most recent messages probably got lost. I'd let DS know about this. They may not care because they expected this sort of result. Then again, it might be a red flag to the system administrators that their recovery was not as complete as they thought and they should look for other hidden problems as well.

Yes, I have been having problems with DS. It is really having problems. I was one of those message senders and then, it sent it to you three times. lol. I guess that you did not get it. Most importantly, I will be thinking of you guys this week.

On this end too...I just stopped trying. I think we can blame Devin....Az are like that you know. (referencing the guy who turned out the lights to souther California.

What ? Someone switched out the lights for a whole state? Really? That is pretty impressive

TWO states, parts of AZ and Southern California. With the flip of a switch! I bet people in Seattle could heare the 'DUH'OH" that came after. Lol I think they got the lights back on last I heard. Get this...the place where the guy worked...THAT city still had power :)

I haven't been able to chat for months. Even after I did what the people from Meebo told me to do, I still can't. I've also had numerous problems and have almost given up on maintaining my contacts with my friends because of it. Things are hard enough right now without having to deal with an unpredictable and unreliable site. Don't know if this will get through but thought I should at least give it a shot.

Wasit, is it your connection speed? DS was funky all last week but this week it's back up running pretty well. I know when my internet speed was affected (by the season opener NFL game last week) it wouldn't let me post or open pages, on DS or FB.
