Hair cutting for charity

Given that two of my close associates are battling breast cancer, it's time to cut hair for charity!

I am willing to cut off my hair to raise money for charity. If anyone is willing to make a monetary pledge to support charity, please send me a message with your email and pledge amount. I will send you a link you can use to pay by credit card. I will cut off my long hair, donate it to Locks of Love, and contribute money for the expenses of cancer care for my coworkers.

At least a penny...up to a million dollars. In other words, since it's for charity, there's no bias against any contribution.

Matt...your hair. I don't know what to say.

The place where I get my hair cut does a big annual event for Locks of Love. They donate their time for free that day. It's like a giant haircutting party with food and everything. But there are always some tears...there is something very tender and emotional about the whole thing. My daughter has donated her beautiful hair a few times.

I have never heard of this charity, we don't have it over here. I know quite a few of people with cancer so I would love to know a bit more about it. Maybe it does exist over here? Maybe it should!

People with long hair, or people that want to donate grow their hair long. Then they (the stylist) puts it in a ponytail, cuts the ponytail and the hair is donated to create wigs for cancer patients using real hair instead of the synthetic kind. It's a very nice way to contribute to this cause..... Great job Matt!

I don't have cash to contribute but I would cut my hair for locks of love alongside ya. I've done it once before, and I think I have ten inches to give.

I have done it 5 times in total, it is a great feeling. Last time it was only 6 inches to donate :)

Pantene also has a similar program.

When I lost my hubby to cancer I started doing this and I donated to "Wigs for Kids" some too. http://www.wigsforkids.org
I have cut my hair several times over the years. I just did so, when I got sober in January. It has always been kind of a renewal thing for me.
