But at the same time, I think it's important that I didn't destroy myself emotionally with negative self talk after eating the oreo's either.
Over my time of healing I think I've become more self compassionate. I never was self compassionate in the past. It's been quite the good change in my life.
Great article, thanks for posting it!
hahahahaha. Definitely a vacation for tastebuds. But also missing the whole protein, vegetable, fruit, etc intake I'm supposed to have.
I wonder just how many calories are in an entire package of oreo's.
I'll take the test and comment after
I believe it adds up to 1960 calories. 98 grams of fat. 21 g saturated fat 182 grams of sugar.
LOLOL. So I guess not just a vacation for my tastebuds.
I don't have bad days too often anymore. So I think once every 6 months or so makes me able to squeek by.
You'd have to do 10 hours on the stairmaster to burn that off ..yikes! Hell a bite of Snickers bar cost you 10 minutes! LOL
Mint is slimming apparently.
10 hours on the stairmaster? Now THAT'S what we call self-compassion!!!
Anyway, as per the topic:
I heard a quote on a TV show last night that said something along the lines of instead of comparing your accomplishments to others, try to compete against yourself and I found myself agreeing with that statement. I guess there are two schools of thought on self evaluation:
1. Yes you should strive to beat your previous goals - athletically, professionally, etc and that takes critical evaluation of what improvements you need to make.
2. You should be proud of what you already accomplished.
So I guess the real goal is how to balance the two to give yourself "self-care" but at the same time don't work below your potential.
