Any last-minute Letters To Survivors...

...need to be in during the coming week. I'm doing a massive graphic design layout project, and I need to know the limit of what I'm working with. A few of you had asked if it was too late to contribute, and it's not--but please send them quickly!

My preference is for hand-written ink on plain paper. They do not have to be "finished" pages--cross-outs, scribbles, doodles, etc. are all fine! (They give them a human warmth). And of course, you obviously have to be agreeable to letting me use your letters in print--duh! I will use whatever name you sign to your letter.

I have sent mine too complete with Wallace and Gromit stamp (do you have Wallace and Gromit there?). Thoughts to you poodle- that is impressive sending yours from the DA's office - did you get an official stamp on the envelope? That would have been cool

I LOVE Wallace and Gromit! I was one of the first fans of there over here, and had all three shorts memorized. When I worked at a Tribal Community Program, the kids would all stop by after school and watch W&G over and over.

Cwells, I'm glad you're here! Unfortunately, you did arrive just at the final tail end of this project, which is based around the last chapter of the book. But have no fear--this is a very active group, and new project ideas emerge all the time to join!

I am SO excited about this book, I know if will be amazing! Can't wait to see it and finally hold it in my hands. Oh and Matt ~ you TOTALLY deserve a MacBook Pro. (I'm a PC girl but hey if Mac is how you roll, it's what you want, then you deserve it!!)

I need the Mac for processing power and to handle Adobe Indesign CS5's graphics. Right now, I have 100 pages of the book laid out, but my PC can't handle the conversion into a .pdf! So as it stands, a PC cannot handle the task of actually turning my design into a printable file. A Macbook Pro will do it in a few seconds.

Since I just got a raise, I think an early Christmas present to myself is in order.
