Restless Legs Syndrome Support Group
Restless Legs Syndrome (RLS) may be described as uncontrollable urges to move the limbs in order to stop uncomfortable, painful or odd sensations in the body, most commonly in the legs. Often sufferers think they are the only ones to be afflicted by this peculiar condition and are relieved when they find out that many others also suffer from it.

Sorry to hear of your distress. It is very much worth looking at psych meds as RLS can be a side-effect. Do some research yourself or ask your pharmacist about the meds you are taking.
I have had RLS for years,. It was a complete coincidence that a medication I was put on for something else helped immensely - pregabalin. I also take magnesium on a daily basis. Anaemia can make it worse too.
Hope there is something of value in this.

I go to a neurologist who conducted a sleep study on me to determine that I have restless legs and restless limbs too. I also have mild abstructed sleep apnea and now wear a CPAP device. I am now taking Requip for restless legs/limbs and now can sleep thru most of the night. It's not a perfect fix, but for me all this works.
I have had insomnia since childhood. I cannot say that I awake each morning feeling refreshed, but I can get my 8 hours in.
Now, some medications can actually cause insomnia as some are activating and also some cause restlessness too. So, please make an appointment with a sleep specialist and get yourself tested. Good luck to you, keep us posted.
