Restless Legs Syndrome (RLS) may be described as uncontrollable urges to move the limbs in order to stop uncomfortable, painful or odd sensations in the body, most commonly in the legs. Often sufferers think they are the only ones to be afflicted by this peculiar condition and are relieved when they find out that many others also suffer from it.

Hello, I'm Mckenzie, 47 from Ontario, Canada.
I've lived with RLS for the past several years but was never diagnosed from it.
Would you be so kind to tell me who diagnosed you guys, was it your PCP or a specialist?
How can you tell if it's the real deal?
Today I went shopping for approximately 2 hours and came back litterally in pain, my legs felt like they weighed a ton.

Mckenzie, Welcome aboard. A lot of doctors do not know a lot about RLS. The best palces to find out information is through the web. There are support groups all over the country. There is a group in London Ontario that might have some answers for you.

My doctor wants to see me tuesday, re: lung x-rays, you see I have asthma and have been having a very hard time with it lately.

Hi Mckenzie. I was diagnosed by my General Practioner (GP) also. I had a sleep study done to find out if I had sleep apnea and they discovered my RLS. I have had this since I was a child. I thought that everyone's legs jumped around when they were tired. I guess mine has gotten a lot worse over the years.
