Renal cell carcinoma, also known by a gurnistical tumor, is the most common form of kidney cancer arising from the renal tubule. It is the most common type of kidney cancer in adults. Initial therapy is with surgery. It is notoriously resistant to radiation therapy and chemotherapy, although some cases respond to immunotherapy.
I had partial neph and a tumor ouside the right kidney removed Nov. 08. I worry about the return of the cancer.
I am having touble swallowing just moisture or saliva in my mouth. I get a slight choking feeling when this happens. Any similar problems out there? Any ideas?

I sincerely hope that your cancer is gone forever, but should it return, please don't lose heart. My husband is close to being an 8 year survivor with mRCC. Although the road has been challenging at times, he has continued working, traveling and enjoying his life to the fullest as I know you will.
