Renal Cell Carcinoma (Kidney Cancer) Support Group

Renal cell carcinoma, also known by a gurnistical tumor, is the most common form of kidney cancer arising from the renal tubule. It is the most common type of kidney cancer in adults. Initial therapy is with surgery. It is notoriously resistant to radiation therapy and chemotherapy, although some cases respond to immunotherapy.

Many people on this site have expressed their belief in prayer. I just wanted to pass along something I do that helps me in this area.
I'm very outgoing and will talk with others as I go through daily life. If I meet someone that needs a prayer I write their name on a card. Sometimes I don't know their name, so a short note will remind me. "Lady at grocery store wearing bandana, probably fighting cancer."
Or, "Cindy, cashier at gift store working two jobs, husband laid off." I don't know about others, but this cancer experience has made me a much more compasionate person. This is a great tool to lift up a prayer for all the people you wish to. While you wait for an appt, your kids to get in the car, a long stop light, just pull out your cards and say a little prayer!
Hope this is something someone could use.

Great Idea, as I do almost the same, I don;t write it down, but do a mental note, when I hear an amblance I say a prayer for the people involved, etc. You are so correct, cancer puts a whole new perspective on your life. Even with it I feel blessed. thank you for sharing your idea... hugs, Annette

The power of prayer and the evidence of God's intervention was so pro-found through my own RCC experience.
It has re-committed me beyond words........
I love to intentionally pray for others in need.
Thank you for sharing these ideas as prayer is the one thing we can "all" offer, anytime, anywhere.

I forget everything these days, so notes have become a part of my life. (I hate notes.) I Love colors, so I get rainbow index cards that are easy to find, and make it just one step 'nicer' to grab and write someone's name down.

I had a chance yesterday to say a prayer for a lady that I met while I was waiting to have my plasma exchange, she came out with a bottle of barium to drink I said yumm and she said yes, I have ovarion cancer, we talked for a few minutes.. I quietly said a prayer for her.. Annette

I am so blessed by ALL of you! Thank you, Dana, for sharing your prayer warrior practice! I am excited that we all have met this challenge by thinking of others. Having the cancer diagnosis has definitely changed my life because I am intentionally learning to let yesterday go, remember that "worrying about tomorrow" only distracts me from the moment, and to live in the Day, hour, minute, I am currently experiencing. I am lifting up prayers for all of you!!!!

Good morning all, I'm new to the group. I had my tumor discovered during a ct scan of my lungs to figure out why I couldn't shake a nagging cough. The docs noticed some inflamation at the bottom of the scan which turned out to be my kidney. I had my left kidney removed on 14 March. Still recovering. I've been praying and rediscover my relationship with God and it's help me so much. I think of how close I was to not knowing anything about this tumor since I had no symptoms and I cry tears of praise.

Here there are people that are going through what you are going through, or have already been through it. They are loving, uplifting people and this site has been such a blessing in my life.
