if you happen to hear anything about your question i would appreciate if you would let me know.. Tim had a bone scan done yesterday and it is suspected that he may have some mets in the spine area.. This is all so very scary and i hope the scan comes out negative, all i know is that Tim's is in so much pain in his back, shoulders, and knee's.. I hope all is going well with you two and i'm sorry i don't have some answers for you, but i feel we are in the same situation..
Love,
Becca
Rcc mets are sometimes very resistant to radiation and/or chemotherapy. my mom's mets were in the c6,7 to L1 to 4 area of the spine. After raditation, she was unable to hold her head up and it seemed as though the cancer progressed faster that ever because she was made so waek from the radiation.
There are some very knowledgeable people on thi sight, keep checking and asking. Also try the Brain and CNS tumor group with your question.
I know a woman who lives across from me who is trying stewm cell replacement therapy, it seems to be working well for her. Where is your huband's mets on his and the rest of his body?

about the one biggest sympton is severe pain that does not want to subside. Exactly where on the spine is it?
