Renal Cell Carcinoma (Kidney Cancer) Support Group
Renal cell carcinoma, also known by a gurnistical tumor, is the most common form of kidney cancer arising from the renal tubule. It is the most common type of kidney cancer in adults. Initial therapy is with surgery. It is notoriously resistant to radiation therapy and chemotherapy, although some cases respond to immunotherapy.
Just a question that I don't want to make into a journal entry...but...what are you referring to in the USA when you talk about 'Hospice'?
Here in the UK, a hospice is a place that cares for the terminally ill by giving them palliative care, usually in situ, but sometimes at home. We make arrangements for end of life care through them, and it usually takes place there.
From what I've been reading in posts, 'Hospice' in the US seems to be more of an umbrella type organisation?

Wanda did an excellent job of explaining Hospice in the USA. I had them for both my parents, and can't say enough wonderful things about the experience. They were as good to me as my parents.
