I take percocet for RSD/CRPS it helps some but nothing takes the pain away

Oxycodone is a narcotic and, as part of a class of drugs, doesn't generally work for RSD. It might work for chronic pain of other types, but not for RSD. RSD pain comes from the sympathetic nervous system and requires a drug that acts on the same system.

I was perscribed Oxycodone by two differnet doctors...it never really helped me and caused problems with my stomach. Nothing stops the pain but I have found that Lortab does take the edge off the pain the best.

I never too oxycondone for my RSD. I took Oxycontin for the last 10 years for other reasons + my RSD the last 7. I was recently switched to Kadian because of a change in my insurance and I could no longer afford the Oxycotin. Kadian is working just fine and is a form of morphine.

High I have been on oxycontin for three day's and it has helped immensley. I was on morphine which helped but left me tired and lethargic. I read some of the posts on the board about oxycontin and went to my DR. He had not used this before. Yes the pain of RSD is still their maybe alot more painful now but I feel more alert,less tired. This has lifted my mood so yes I will take the extra pain anyday

Nothing helps the pain, but it can sometimes relax you enough that you might be able to get some rest or to do daily things that you need to do. Hope that helps.

Took Oxycodone for months. They had to keep upping my dose because my body quickly built up a tolerance to it. Was up to 90 mg a day. Once I discontinued it, I realized that it didn't help with the pain as much as I thought it did. As with any narcotic pain med, it gave me wicked nausea, constipation, etc.

I take Oxycodone. I found that absolutely none of the narcotics helped with the pain. The Oxcodone seemed more affective when used in combination with gabapentin. I take the highest dose which is 3200 mg. I take 80 mg of oxycodone and 75 mg of Fentanyl(duragesic patch).
