I didn't expect to be so moved by it, and I was crying early on. (I'm a bit of an emotional pushover with movies, though.) Loving, you should set aside some alone time if you don't find a chance to watch it with your H. But, if you can watch it with your SO, I think it will be even more meaningful. I know, every now and then, I'd glance toward my H, and to see the expression on his face- well, I knew we were connected.
If someone had told me that a low budget film, with mostly volunteer actors, produced by a religious company, complete with biblical references would change my life, I would have thought I was being asked to drink the Kool-Aid. But I would recommend it. I also bought the Love Dare, and have just started it this week. Marriage is worth working for, and I'm not too proud to look for help along the way.
The wife in the movie begins an EA with a man she doesn't even know is married, even though she is to Kirk Cameron's character - but - the movie is more about learning to love your partner in the deepest, most respectable way! If you believe in God then you also believe that He loves us unconditionally and I really believe that is what it's trying to teach us. The same for the Love Dare book. I must still be too new to this whole crappy situation because my feeling is had they thought about our feelings to begin with, they never would have done what they did. I will admit that I feel bad for him sometimes but it's still nothing in comparison to the pain I feel that I didn't deserve. They do because they made the choice to take that detour in life. Truth has to solidify progress, withouth it we're just ignoring the inevitable.
It more or less made me madder!
i dont want to re-live it all over again. i dont want it to make me upset or more angry, i dont want it to bring anything back for me............ i guess im avoiding dealing with the affair even thiugh its been............................................one year, two months and three days. i told my H i rented it and i told him i wanted to watch it solo first... he understood. so wish me luck and lets hope its helps me heal rather than dwell on what im trying to work through with my H by my side...
