Rebuilding Marriage After Infidelity Community Group
A community for those who have been through the heartbreak of infidelity and decided to stay with their partner and try to re-build the relationship.
My BH says that I need to try and make him feel special again. Well, it seems everything I try backfires on me. Complements, which are from the heart, don't work. His birthday is next week so I planned a dinner with his friends from work. He didn't want that either. I've asked him what I can do to make him feel special again and he does not know. He says I have to figure it out. I just have no clue. I hope this doesn't come across as short or mean, I'm just going crazy trying to help him. I made this mess and I want so desparately to clean it up.
for example:
my CH told me the other day, "i never noticed that u had wrinkles before". believe me no woman wants to hear that. strange though, it made me feel like he had just really looked at me for the first time in years. granted, wish hed said they make me look dignified or something, but just the fact that he is seeing me now, and not the predefined picture in his head of me in my youth, made me feel very special.
