Rebuilding Marriage After Infidelity Community Group
A community for those who have been through the heartbreak of infidelity and decided to stay with their partner and try to re-build the relationship.
I'm always looking for new/unique ideas. I hate feeling stuck in a rut. Huz and I spent our first year of recovery going on weekly dates and on monthly nights (or weekends, if we could swing it) away. Now we are slowly reverting back to doing nothing. We watch movies/tv episodes or play video games. I like those things, but I need something more.
We've gone hiking, had picnics, tried different restaurants, drawn together, worked on the yard, remodeled the bathroom (work in progress... still... heheh), read to each other, gone shopping, gone to movies, gone wine tasting... I enjoyed all of those things, but I am interested in some new/different ideas, too.
What sorts of things do you all like to do with your significant other? What types of activities bring you closest and leave you feeling the most fulfilled?

We do camp and used to hike and backpack until I had a disc removed from my spine a few months post DDAY. I'm not a big fisherman and huz even less so. Your post reminded me that we do need to replace our badminton set, though. We're HUGE board game/card game fans, so we're good in that area. We don't often play alone, anymore, though, we usually include the kids. It may be worth exploring "just us" games, again.
I have never played pool (no... never) so that might actually be something fun to try. Isn't that a "sexy" sort of date that people go on since there's all that touching and "here let me show you by getting all snuggled close behind you" stuff going on?? I am SO in! :) Darts seems like it could be similar, too. My parents had a dartboard when I was growing up, so I'm actually pretty good, but if I play dumb, maybe he'll still cuddle up behind me to show me how to throw? ;)
I went to the Atlantic city rippleys believe it or not museum with my kids 2 weeks ago and stayed at the showboat. They told me if I gamble with my card for atleast 30 min I'll gett coupons. First timers get reimbursed any loss up to 200 in the form of vouchers.
Well guess what came in yesterday's mail? $30 voucher,(more than what I lost) one free night stay and one free buffet meal. Sounds like a date night for us is on the horizon!!!! : )
