I had stopped buying my H cards.... for the same reason. Now I just buy ones with humor.

I find the ones that are blank inside work pretty darn good for me.LOL

I know what you mean about the cards, it's all such a load of crap. It's tempting to buy one and then scribble all over it " OH, that's how it used to be before you f----- everything up!, Never mind" I have cards that are 30 yrs old and I feel like putting them in a pile in front of him and making him burn them.

We should contact Hallmark and tell them to come up with a new line of cards. The "were still with you and were not sure why" line.

Front of the card could be a silhouette of a couple having a romantic dinner. The card could read something like:

"Remembering all of the wonderful holiday moments we have shared over the years"

Then you open the card and there is a picture of the wife saying "Of course none of them compare to the thought of you screwing that whore after your work Christmas party"

"Merry Fucking Christmas"

Sorry, just drank a bottle of wine and not feeling oh so friendly.

Cirhas2's card would work for me....but if we are rebuilding it will have to be tearful's christmas scene and blank inside. We can add the ever personal and heart-warming, " Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! (place name here).

I had to post cause this now makes me laugh...but for Easter about two months after I found out...I did go ahead and get easter bunny goodies for my husband to find the next morning with the kids...however his card I thought was so funny...

It was a snoopy card that had a bunch of woodstock birds in different colors all over the front and snoopy with an egg coloring kit...inside it read "I guess I should have colored them before they hatched" so I wrote after that..."I guess you should have tried to save your marriage before having an affair"

To this day I find it pretty humorous. I know don't have that desire to put anger down like that anymore...

We've never exchanged cards (H and I) for Christmas and other holidays, so it's not an issue for us. We do cards for our anniversaries and Valentines Day, but that's usually it unless we buy them as a surprise on a "regular" day. I'd much rather give & receive those anyway, not on a day the card companies tell us to.

We don't exchange cards either but I would love to send one to the OW. Christmas related of course! Something like...

We know you miss getting poked, so could you come and give us hand with those nasty needles under our Christmas tree...

I used to buy cards for him all the time. Now the ones about love and caring just don't apply anymore. I avoid them.

OMG, re18. There is a part of me that wants to do that. I have the OW address.

But I won't. I will not give her that power and mental space in my life. Let her go.
