I'm curious too. I've wondered if it's immune related since I have MS which is an autoimmune disease that affects the nervous system.

I've suffered from immune issues too, like chronic fatigue-epstein barr virus, cytomegalovirus and glandular fever....

Maybe worth checking out because my doc told me Raynauds CAN be in some cases often an underlying immune disease... forget what it's called though! Not to scare us lol. because Raynauds can be the cause of many things- It's summerry weather here now in spring so... Raynauds isn't really a prob, it's so hot and sweaty! That makes me avoid the doc until it's a problem... but should i do that? hmm?

I am unsure of the immune system. however I have to take the blood test every 3 months to be checked for the progress of mine. Gail

I know the Raynauds was caused by infections. I also have the symptoms of MS, Epstein-Barr is way high, had a lot lof strept throats as a child and now the Raynauds is probably the most severe of all symptoms.
I have it all over. I take a lot of aspirin and give myself Heparin shots. Its
a rough disease. DianeC

I was told that small frame people get it. Which I am. Smokers also, because nicotine closes off the blood flow. I do not smoke. I do suffer from Migraines which some thing is brought on by blood supply being cut-off. I do have Fibromyalgia but that is not really considered an auto-immune disease.

they can test your cardiolipid levels for Raynaud's syndrome. You can also be tested for lupus, scleroderma, and other autoimmune disorders, which can be the catalyst for secondary Raynaud's. Less common is primary Raynaud's, which is when you just have Raynaud's syndrome and not any autoimmune disorders. My rheumatologist told me that the blood tests are expensive, so unless you have good insurance or feel like you might have a specific disorder, you could skip it.
