I am so honored to have been accepted here. Every day, you all astound me. I am almost envious that you share a tribal interconnection. I read so many of your comments, and see your avatars, so full of darkness and dread, and I just shudder because this is not how I see you.
I need you all to know what an amazing community you are. Every single one of you has added something to me, and helped me become better at what I do. I am full to the point of overflowing with pride for you, and I just figured I should tell you that. None of you hears this enough, and some of you don't expect to ever hear it (or deserve to hear it). But I mean it, every word. Why aren't people telling you how amazing you are? Do you even realize it?
Even you, the one reading this with cuts on her arms...You amaze me!
And you, the one who was called "stupid" by your boyfriend earlier tonight. You amaze me!
And you, the one who can't stop having self-injuring sex and getting drunk...You amaze me! You are worth SO much to me!
And there's someone reading this who's thinking of suicide right now. But I need people like YOU to help us in this work! We can't win if we lose one for every one who is saved.
And one of you reading this is planning to vomit later because you hate your body. But to me, you are incredible!
And some of you can't type the word "RAPE." You have to hide from your own truth. But even though you cannot walk away from your crime scene, YOU are not a crime scene. You are a hawk to me.

My world is so much better for having known you Matt.
That we hear[d] that so infrequently, if ever, is sad. But, to hear it now, in this forum, from a respected professional means alot.
This is working. This community of survivors, on every level, is working. And it is valuable for each person participating, and for some just stopping in to read.
I am honored to be a part of this community, and to share it with you is easy.
