Just wondering if anybody has experienced this too but ever since I was raped I've had obsessions with anime characters. I Fangirl over them really hard as if they are real people
Like Edward Elric, Or Natsu Or L..The list goes on but I've set an Unnecessary standard for men now. If they can't live up to those expectations that ive set for them... I cant get over it.
I feel like... Edward would never say that or do that Or Natsu would have stood up for me and never hurt me..

Well, I was obsessed with them before I got raped, though I was never open about it, so I honestly don't think being raped has anything to do with you loving them, but it could have something to do with the way you compare them to real people.
I do that a lot too.
I care more about anime characters than real people. I think my standards are also high and I have those thoughts like "___ wouldn't do that" too, so you're not alone there.
