For discussion of research and academic scholarship pertaining to various trauma and counseling issues. (NOT a support/help/advice group; NOT a place for crisis management, counseling, or other agendas; this is purely for the sake of research and information for those who want it)

If you are interested in the nuts-and-bolts of research findings, TRA might be of interest. Also, students might find it to be a useful repository of sources for academic papers and such.

Seems like a very interesting group.

I'm not sure I'd be able to give much input, but I'd certainly join just to search information and find reference material.

I'm going to upload a lot of .pdf studies, so there will be a ton of available research. Students, educators, and advocates will really want to participate. Also, victims who have requests for data on certain topics might find TRA a good place to start.

I appreciate your doing this. Most of the time I lurk on DS to help me understand myself and how things in my life happened. I, like Phoenix, may not contribute much to the discussion. However, I am very interested and feel that this will benefit many people. Thank you.

I like it because it appeals to my opinionated side :)

Plus after studying psychology at college stuff like this has always interested me. I like to see whether studies could be improved and speculate on results..research geek! ^.^
