Hello everyone today is a hard day for me. Two years today my best friend got raped When I found out my whole world fell apart At first I I was angery but then my anger turned into sadneess I tried to kill myslf when I found what happened to her My mom ended up calling 911 they came and took me to the mental hospital so I would be safe when I arrived at the hoispital I just cried for my best friend. but she did not come I kept myself that it was my fault that she got hurt. If I had just been there with her that night He would not have hurt her Everytime I think about what she went through it makes me angery and sad. Why did god let that happen to my best friend.. Today I am trying to forget what happened and move forward. but it still haunts me to this day. I hope they find the guy that hurt and do the same thing to him that he did to her.

i'm so sorry that you both endured that.....do NOT blame yourself!!!!!!!!!! telling yourself that he wouldn't have raped her if you were there is not logical, although it may seem that way.....have you tried counseling??? that's helped for a lot of people and the fact that this is so close to home, it's probably a good idea to just try it......and then if it works, maybe you can go weekyl, monthly, whatever the recommendation is.....don't blame yourself.....if you ever wanna talk, i'm here for you

Thanks a lot I need to talk to someone about it. But my mom said that it did not happen to me so why do I let get to me The reason is because shes my best friend She has been there for me though the good times and the bad

I hope that you can have some peace in knowing that your friend is so so lucky to have you in her life.
A lot of us would love a friend as caring and compassionate as you. My closest friends struggle to cope with what happened to me, and stopped being around me and spending time with me. Now I am very lonely. Would feel honoured to have a friend like you.

Shes very lucky to have me even though we don't talk or see each other She will always be my best friend no matter what. We have our own little message that we say to each other after we text talk on the phone or email its love and prayers always then we put our name.

You are what is known as a secondary victim. While this didn't happen directly to you, it indirectly affects you. I know my husband still struggles with what happened to me. My friends wont talk to me about it anymore... your friend is fortunate that you remembered the anniversary date of it... I know we all have a lot on our minds and a lot of dates to remember, but not a single person other than myself (and probably the bastards that hurt me) even realized the date. Anniversaries are really hard and having somebody there for you on those days would be really nice.
