when i was raped, i only remember that i died inside, after it happened i had to tell my bf and he wasnt supportive, he attacked me for what happened. and told me i just made myself the victim. we recently broke up and now that im not focusing on making him happy and trying to mend his pain, i realize how hurt i am from the rape. I hadnt gotten in touch with the pain of what happened to me, i was to busy trying to keep a relationsip, but im starting to realize how hurt i really am. I was robbed of my self, he took everything from me. i really did die that day.
thank you for sharing your story with me, I can only imagine how difficult it has been for you. I've realized that we have that in common a lack of understanding from the ones we wished understood us the most. I am truly sorry that you have dealt with that. I completely know how you feel, that feeling like your whole life is stole, but I guess we have to be strong and start our lives all over again. It'll be hard but I hope god gives us both strength to overcome these terrible times. I would like to encourage you to seek help, contact your local rape treatment center, they really do change your life, they give you hope even if its only a little bit. We have to help ourselves.

I completely agree with you that therapy can help, alot. I'm very happy to hear that you have reached out and are getting help, its a huge step and you did it! I know you said you dont think you'll ever be able to tell anyone about your rapes and from experience ill say that it sucks and it hurts and its scary, but when you did it its a weigth off your shoulders. It saddens me greatly that my bf doesn't understand what happened to me and that he attacks me for it, but it has made me a little stronger. I feel better about myself, even though I lost him, I realized that negative people like that are not worth your time. Dont let anyone ever blame you for being raped, no one deserves that. But either way, I hope that we can both heal and move forward, and most importantly learn to love ourselfs and allow ourselves to feel bad for ourselves. We were robbed of something, and now we have to start all over. Its hard but weyll make it.
