California authorities have arrested a man who they suspect raped a woman he met on a Christian dating website.
Sean Banks, 37, has been charged with rape by force, residential burglary, and digital penetration by force.
Banks allegedly met the female victim on the dating website Christianmingle.com, where he went by the username Rarity, according to a La Mesa police press release.
Sean Banks arrived to the victims home in La Mesa and was sexually aggressive towards the victim, ultimately raping her, the press release states.
Authorities say a further investigation revealed Banks also used other online names such as Rylan, Rylan Butterwood, and Rylan Harbough.
We are in communication with the La Mesa police department and willing to assist them in any way we can with the investigation, a representative from the dating website told KSWB.
Banks has pleaded not guilty and is free on his own recognizance after posting $500,000 bail.
His next court appearance is scheduled for March 1.
La Mesa police say they fear there may be other victims, and urge anyone with information to call the tipline at 619-667-7538.
Attempts to locate an attorney representing Banks were unsuccessful.

Same thing happened to me after we started dating. We need to be careful and not believe everything we are told. Look what happened to the lady that was almost killed by a man she met of a dating website. He went on the kill another woman.

you know what...people use that site because they feel as if that is a great way to find a nice christian man! and now im sure they want feel that way any more because of this,...like i said...were always victimize some kind of way..as women...dam..a woman is trying to find a man..while trying.thinking that she has a great sincere godly man..and do this to her!! thats why my work...our work as women is never DONE!!! thats why in my program..its called sister i need you..because we are sisters..we are sisters that are going through the same thing or something similar...and we need each other to get through this pain...this is a dam shame!! please..baby sis..can you mail me this as well...any article that you get..please mail them to me please...and thank you so much..love you
