I was 16 when I was groomed and raped by my stepdads bestfriend.
I was almost 19 when the trial was over and my life had come apart. The pain and humiliation was very overwhelming, the hardest part was being blamed by his wife, my mom calling me a liar and that he got no jailtime.
Now that i'm almost 20 I've come to the Lord and I have to forgive. I have to forgive being held down being told I cant go home being fondled and penetrated as tears came running down my face. I have to forgive his wife for blaming me for calling me a homewrecker.. I have to forgive my mother for not being on my side when I needed her. I have to forgive myself for being stupid.
Its the hardest thing I have ever had to do in my life but it's possible. I forgive him. I forgive his wife, I forgive my mother and most of all I forgive myself.
I didnt do this forgiving to say its okay. I did this for myself because I deserve peace and I have faith I will be healed. I forgave to show you can humiliate me, scare me, overpower me but my strength overcomes everything. You may have paused a pause button on my life but i'm up now. You cant break who I am

Good for you for finding a way to deal with it. I am so sorry that you had that experience. I hope that you had someone to help you. At least an advocate or somebody on your side. Your mother not believing you is horrible. Also, his wife calling you a home wrecker for being raped? She needs locked up.
