I thought I was over it. I thought I wa coping and was mostly okay. Apparently I'm not and I've been acting out and hurting throse around me and I'm not sure why. This isn't me. I've been raped numerous times, the major ones that haunt me are the two men in the club then the friend who got me out o fthere who raped me and forced my head down on him after. Saying "I owed him for the help." I am getting therapy, have for years but nothing is working. I'm so lost and I'm accidentally hurting others and myself anf I just... I don't know. Thank you for your times, I hope I didn't waste it too much.

Hey Dhalia, I'm so so so sorry that you experienced that and are going through the aftermath of it all. You are so strong, and so courageous for sharing. If you ever need someone to talk to I'm available anytime! I went through the same, I was raped twice in 2017 and I understand what it feels like for the aftermath to affect your relationship you have with those closest to you. For me I did go to therapy as well, but my relationship in God, and learning to love on myself through self care really helped me alot.

Hurt and pain definitely can form us into someone we are not, but don't give up hope. There is light at the end of the tunnel and I always say we are conquerors not survivors. You deserve the very best life has to offer, and I know that you can make it through this. Sending virtual hugs your way.

Also too, I've started a Facebook group called conquerors over sexual assault if you want to join. Just wanted to start a community of us conquerors for encouragement!

If you can figure this one out please let me know. I was raped 4.5 years ago. I met someone recently I finally let my guard down around and completely messed it up with emotional outbursts. I feel like there is already an aura of something wrong with me that everyone can see that keeps people away. I’m embarrassed by this and want to crawl up in a ball and never let go. For once I felt safe and didn’t freak out when I was touched. Now that’s over and I’m back to being alone. I’m sorry I can’t be more help. I truly want to be I’m just not in a good place right now.
