Hi All,
It's the first time I've used a group like this before. Let me introduce myself.
My name is Sophia and I am 26. I was raped 4 years ago by someone I interviewed for my college thesis. We met for dinner and drinks, and then I think he put a pill in my drink because I don't remember most of what happened. I just remember him following me into my hotel room, saying no, and waking up in the morning bleeding.
Because I was scared, I didn't press charges. I tried to pretend that everything was ok. I told a few friends and also my boyfriend at the time, and they all made me feel like it was my fault and that I got what I deserved. I had PTSD for about 2 years and sought treatment. It helped for a while. Also, I lived outside of the country for a while as a way to escape. Eventually I found photography, and I returned to the US last year to attend a photojournalism program, where I have to interview people and approach strangers and ask them to let me photograph them. My flashbacks and anxiety have returned. I've had a really hard time at school, but I know that if I drop out then he wins.
Anybody ever had an experience like this, where the anxiety has returned?

I think it's interesting also that you mentioned having a plan if it happens again. I'll have to take some time and think about it, although I get anxious just thinking about it!
