I've spent years making poor decisions and have no one to blame but myself. It's almost a new year and I need a change and want out, if that's possible. In college I needed money and became an escort, that has escalated since then. I've been beat up and raped several times. I don't want to live in fear anymore. Where do I go from here???????????
Sadly, I've been done this exact path, needing money and turning to escorting, being hurt and abused from the unsavoury and disgusting people out there. Please find the strength to leave such a situation and go somewhere safe. I wish I had done it myself, I had a way out, going back home but it was a matter of pride and in my head I felt going home, I'd be a failure. These beliefs, the having to be stubborn and prideful and my going home is a failure, really prevented me from getting the help I needed.
You say you are in college, you are a smart woman in taking great steps in your education - please take the steps for your well-being and heart. Being hurt and raped can be so damaging, not feeling safe and living in fear as well. Please find any help at all, local rape relief shelters, call a friend, family - there is support out there for you.
