March 5, 2013 ( JEFFERSONVILLE, Ind.) -- Authorities say a southern Indiana man accused of sexually assaulting and killing a 17-year-old girl was sought for violating probation months before the weekend slaying.
Forty-nine-year-old Richard Carley Hooten is expected to be charged with murder, rape and criminal deviate conduct by Thursday in the asphyxiation death of Tara Willenborg of Clarksville. Willenborg's boyfriend found her body early Saturday in the bedroom of the apartment they shared.
Hooten is being held without bond in the Clark County Jail following an initial court appearance Monday during which Clark Circuit Judge Daniel Moore advised him of his rights.

Hooten is a registered sex offender. Clark County Sheriff's Department spokesman Chuck Adams tells the Courier-Journal of Louisville, Ky. (http://cjky.it/WIjn2m ) that Hooten eluded arrest when sought him for violating probation in August and November.
Clark County Prosecutor Steve Stewart tells the News and Tribune that Willenborg of Clarksville "suffered a horrible death" Saturday morning in her apartment. Hooten was arrested walking down a Clarksville street several hours after Willenborg's body was found by her boyfriend when he returned home from work early Saturday.
Clarksville Police Department Maj. Darrell Rayborn says Willenborg and Hooten knew one another.
Rayborn says Hooten has resided in Clark County, Louisville, Ky., and Georgia but his current home address isn't known.

Let's hope the justice system preveals and he gets what he deserves. The death pentalty or to go through everything he did to her first by the prisoners. isabee
