been a year and a half that my like changed, a year that my life has definitely been changed for the better. u may be asking what exactly is she talking? or if her life changed for the better why talk about it right now?
well im not complaining at all i just wanted to put it out there that any and everyone of u guys can get through this like i am
( i was molested from fourth grade to the end of seventh grade October 2007 to March 2011 by biological sperm doner)
i eventually told my one and only best friend about what was happening and maybe a half a week went by and she asked if she could tell her mom i told her yea i guess it needs to got over with. she then told my mom the same day cause i just couldnt bare to tell her myself especially when me and her never really had a close relationship. me and my mom went to the police the next day. i then had to wait a few days cause since the molestation didnt happen in that county they couldnt do much about it .so we had to talk to another police station.
well one and a half years ago would be when the police actually found him and locked him up in jail (next thing i know everyone heard about it radio newspapers) i go\\then went through so many court dates i refused to miss a single one even though i didnt have to be there for most of them. found out who my true family and support system was and then who was lying to me the whole time (sad to say the ones who lied were the ones that i was somewhat closest to) my supportive family was there to every court date they could possibly go to
october 2 was a year since he was sentenced to 34 years in prison. that day and when i heard the judge say his sentencing relief,final happiness and tons of other emotions flew through me, not only that but that was the first day in my life i started crying from happiness. i had a attorneys assistant come up to me shake my hand and tell me how proud he was for standing up for myself and on top of that willingly choosing to go on the stand. i was crying and smiling and non stop shaking and oh my gosh that moment i knew it was time for me to finally start my new life.
in my victim statement i would like to read/type my last statement i put "it was nice talking to u but i have to go and start my new life now"

slowly but surely i will keep changing back to me again but this time im gonna be a survivor and never a victim
it will take time but i promise u can do this too we all can and remember its not ur fault . i believe in u :)

It's been twenty years since mine, I hid in a closet for a while after I made it home. Then I decided that I was not going to be held back, and that no one would ever know what happened. So the next day I got up showered, and went to work, and no one saw any difference in me. It was years before I admitted it to anyone. Once I did, I spent some time in therapy, but I'm ok now. If I as a man can live through it, and be ok, then anyone can.
i was going through therapy but my counselor dropped me cause she got a new job and im supposedly on the waiting list for a new counselor.
im proud of u too u did what u had to do and got it done. we all deal with these situations in our own way i just really hope that no one is trying to commit suicide because thats not the answer and it will not help u out.it will just hurt ur loved ones.i admit i had suicidal thoughts and once in a while i still do but i got it under control to where i never actually try to hurt myself and (i dont really know if im saying it right) but i kinda talk myself out of the suicide.
im here for anybody if u ever need to talk i will listen. i will try to help u out as much as i possibly can
