Ever since my rape (a little over 2 years ago) I haven't felt good enough, for anyone, no matter what it is I'm doing.. I look at other girls and think of how much prettier and how much more "normal" they are than I am.. With my family, none of them know...and I feel like I failed them somehow and no matter what I do, I won't be able to ever be good enough again. And with my boyfriend, I feel like I'll never be good enough for him.. like he'll never trust me, or he'll think I'm weird.. The only person I feel comfortable with is my ex.. I started datin him 2 months after it happened.. we were together 15 months.. and no matter what I did, it was amazing in his eyes.. I was perfect no matter what happened.. But with everyone else, I feel ugly, different... like a monster.. like none of them will ever be able to love me.. It's like my hair isn't "colored" right, my waist is too big, my smile isn't good enough, my voice is wrong, my walk is strange, or my body is gross... I'm always worried about what I'm doin wrong, and sometimes I do things just to see if anybody notices.. is that wrong of me?? I'm tired of feeling like everything I do is wrong..

i'm so sorry that you had to go through something like that.......a lot of the time we feel the way you're feeling right now.....i felt the same way.....sometimes i feel like i'm not good enough at all.....this also stems from family issues that were never dealt with.....i know that you don't want to tell your family, but i would strongly recommend you do....i know that you don't want to b/c you think they may judge you and b/c of your insecurities you may feel dirty among other emotions, and don't want to tell them......i know it's hard, but they could be a big support system for you.....i would also strogly recommend therapy....it has helped A LOT of people who have experienced a trauma.....of course, if you can't afford therapy there's always a choice of telling a school counselor.....they can help you deal with the feelings of insecurity as well.....if you ever wanna talk, i'm here
