You're doing what I did..trying to convince myself it wasn't rape. It is. It doesn't matter if he was drunk and doesn't remember it. I hope therapy helps you. I started seeing a counselor, for other reasons, took me months to get up the courage to tell her I was raped. she never presses for any more than I want to say. She usually asks how I feel about it and just guides me to talk about my feelings about it.
Its so scary to say it outloud the first time, but the first time I got the words said OUT LOUD, I felt so much better, it was like this huge secret I carried all by myself, finally I didn't have to carry it alone anymore. Just telling someone outloud took some of that loneliness away.

rape is rape no matter what......if he was drunk he was drunk, if he was sober he was sober.....it doesn't matter if he was drunk, he took advantage of you....he just drank alcohol before....i know it';s hard to accept, but in time i think you will accept that it was his fault....so sorry that this happened to you.....

Being drunk is not an excuse. It doesn't make anyone do something that "isn't them". It may reduce inhibitions, but all that comes out is what was already inside.

You said he doesn't remember? Or, maybe, he doesn't want to remember. Again being drunk is a "good excuse" for not remembering. But it is an excuse.

I'm so sorry this happened to you, but rape is rape, drunk or not.
