I am out here reading even though I don't post. I can't talk about my rape still, just occasionally but it takes awhile. It took me 3 years or so just to tell my therapist.

I basically am dealing with my rape by not dealing with it. I wanted to start with a single post for now to say I'm here even though I am not ready to unload.

That's a big step to take, and I'm glad you did.
*hugs* This place can really help in so many ways when you are ready for it.

I don't know where I would be now if I hadn't found DS.

Take your time, babe. Everything is on your own rules now. Even if you can't talk about it now, make sure you ARE taking care of other things--being good to yourself, exercising, relaxation techniques, good nutrition, all those things that are sooo important. And know that we are all here. Remember, you can talk about how you feel without talking about what happened. When you're ready.

It takes a lot do post welcome. I'm not technically an adult I will be in a few months but mine happened when I was a kid.

Good on you. It takes a lot of time and it's scary to first tell someone. I'm 25 and I was 15 when it happened. It's really affecting my life now big time as I pushed it aside when it happened which doesn't help at all. Your doing well. Take care of yourself.

Hello and yes. It happened to me when i was between the ages of 6-11. and am now a grown up, well 22 anyway. I also dont talk much and am new to this page. so hi :)
