so i went to my cousin's second birthday party yesterday....it was good....but then there were 2 guys who looked like my rapist and one of the guys had the same name as my rapist......i stayed there and was polite, but fought the urge to run away.....but as i was living this piece of my life i was so wishing that M had killed me after or during the rape.....i don't wanna live in fear anymore and i don't wanna freak out whenever i hear or see his name....i don't wanna freak when i see someone who looks like him.....i just wish he killed me!!!! the rape happeend once, and the rest of these things and triggers and freak outs are forever...anybody else wish that they were killed or am i just crazy????

Honey, how long about did the rape happen? Was he ever prosecuted??

I wish I could take away your pain.

i was raped for 2 1/2 hours.....i never reported him and there's no proof so i can't

yes I have wished that, and I think if it happened again I would fight to the death but then i know that isn't really how it is for me, i have thought about killing myself but when it came down to it i couldn't do it and i chose to live that day and I'm pretty certain i would choose to live again i it came down to it. This life might not be great some days but its the best i've got so 'lets face the music and dance!'

The 1st time I was raped...I acted illegally and violently towards my rapist...I stabbed him and I gained the smallest sense of defense against what he was doing to me...The time in Prison was worth it... but this last time in April...that's when I wanted to die and wished they had killed me....I still have days when I feel like this and I can relate to how you are feeling when you go through those living memories....
My stomach churns and I feel sick whenever I hear a motorbike and I am so scared to be by myself...I am surrounded by people 24/7 to help ease the fears I live with...Like you Valgal, I don't wanna live in fear either, but at this point in time, I don't know how to deal with certain reminders of what happened...But I don't think or feel that you are crazy for feeling the way you do...If our emotions and reactions to triggers and memories are symptoms of craziness....well then I'd be crazy too....Cos I know and feel what you feel too....May we both have strength to overcome these obstacles of our healing...Just for today...We are alive and with that comes the chance and time to find ways to deal with our ordeals....My thoughts and prayers be with you Valgal....Jah

I will tell you, I have this happen to me all the time, so your not alone. I will see someone who looks very similar, facial qualities, overall look--face and body build... and sometimes I even get caught in the situation where I'll smell the same or very similar cologne.

I want to run, i get triggered... I think about "the other person/people" not the actual people infront of me. IT IS VERY DIFFICULT AND TRAUMATIZING.

I tell myself that I survived for a reason. There I many times I wish I hadn't, but I keep reminding myself, I survived for a reason! So did you...hope this can be of some help sweetie =)
