Hey. So I noticed today that I am still sensitive to the word "rape." When ever I see it, hear it, or even write it, it feels as if the word is highlighted. Most of the time (if not all the time), I feel like a spotlight is on me, and I feel a little transparent.....I think it kinda stresses me out, especially when other's are around.......
Do any of you feel like this or similar? I even see the word in other words, like today I read grape and all I could focus on was "rape" and then when I read the word "therapist" in a comment I posted, all I saw was "the rapist".........it's kinda annoying. Why does this happen? Any thoughts? All opinions are welcomed.

I didn't experience the problem with the word rape. I can't really say for sure, but it does sound like a natural reaction. I mean we are hyperventilate for a long time, I can see how the brain could focus on something like the word that describes what happens to us.
Be strong my dear child, it will take more time, but I think you will eventually get over this.
