Okay so im really freaking out right now I have a friend who sent me a message saying that they are living with their brother and he rapes them and the person said that they want to kill themselves and then I told them that they need to go to the cops and have a rape kit done so they can press charges and they told their brother ( even though I wouldnt have expected them to do that) they sent me a message saying they are going to kill themselves and I dont kjnow what to do...
I had one a while back who told a similar story - that her brother was holding her hostage and using her for sex. He was threatening to kill her. The police were informed but when they went round, she was living with her family, far from prisoner. She had taken a lot of time and emotional energy from myself and others here. The police said she had a history of false reports.
Another "girl" claimed she being raped and abused by her father. The story got more and more extreme. In the end I checked it out with the local police who traced her and found it was all a lie.
Trolls happen. Why they do it, who knows. It just takes resources from people who really need help and can leave the helpers very drained and vulnerable. Please, take care of yourself. It a story sounds too extreme to be true, it's usually false.
