Pulmonary hypertension (PH) is an increase in blood pressure in the pulmonary artery or lung vasculature, leading to shortness of breath, dizziness, fainting, and other symptoms, all of which are exacerbated by exertion. Depending on the cause, pulmonary hypertension can be a severe disease with a markedly decreased exercise tolerance and right-sided heart failure.

Does anyone know of a portable concentrator that has a steady flow of at least 5? I found ones with a pulse flow of 3, but none higher than that. My sister has Pulmonary Hypertension and we will be going on a 2 today car trip. It would be much easier to have a concentrator then using tanks. Or is there any car adapter that can be used? Thanks for any info

Hi...as soon as he was diagnosed we started looking for a portable rechargeable oxygen machine because my husband was too weak to lug the wheeled tanks and the portable ones would need too many tanks...
Imogen 3 has been a Godsend! It is rechargeable,has a car charger,snf a wall charger...downside,it blew the fuse on my Hyundai...he is now in 10!,so on a road trip we bring the Big 10l machine with us,haul it into hotel room...
The 4?5?l Imogen has enabled him to drive for 6,7 hours...which is not stressful for him....machine cost+-$4000.00,but worth every penny!
