I just started taking this supplement, I was wondering if anyone else takes it and if you have had good results

My husband was out on it by the Consultant Professor at Brompton Hospital....he has been on it ( capsule form ) for a year now.
He feels it does help to loosen any mucus.....though PF does not seem to produce it like COPD does.
He was on 3 a day...but has dropped to 2, as he finds them a bit rough on his stomach.
About all we can say about them :)

I am taking NAC 600 three times a day with no ill effects. I do feel that taking these antioxidents keep me from getting sick when I've been exposed to my grandchildrens germs.
I also take Alpha Lipoic, which is also an antioxident, which was recommended to me by my cardiologist.

I have IPF and my pulmonologist prescribed NAC at 600mg 3x daily as an antioxident. I have been taking it for over 6 years with no adverse side effects that I am aware of. My IPF has progressed slowly and I am very thankful for that. I have no proof that NAC has contributed to the slow progression. I also have no reason to believe that it does any harm. So, I choose to believe it helps.

I've been taking it for several months now and I feel the same way i think it helps and it does no harm.....so I chose to believe it is helping and I have had no progression either.

I've been on NAC since about June, 2010, and found that it does keep the mucus loosened. Along with the percocet that I take to eliminate my cough, I rest fairly well. Oxygen 24/7 not only helps me breath but it also helps to reduce the chances of one of the more insidious long term side effects of IPF that of PAH (Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension).

I have beentaking NAC for several months (probably about a year I suspect) and it certainly has done no harm. Before I started taking it we asked our pharamcist about anaother supplement I had read about and she kindly researcheda lotof products for us and told us NAC would be about the best she could recommend. So......as I nboted...it certainly hasn't hurt any......
