By far the most common form of pulmonary embolism is a thromboembolism, which occurs when a blood clot, generally a venous thrombus, becomes dislodged from its site of formation and embolizes to the arterial blood supply of one of the lungs. Symptoms may include difficulty breathing, pain during breathing, and more rarely circulatory instability and death.
I've been on Xarelto for 5 weeks since leaving the hospital. After a couple of weeks I noticed that I was experiencing dry mouth. Then my nose felt dry. I now feel like I have a sinus infection.
Saw my hematologist and she said that it could be side affects of Xarelto and that my body is trying to adjust to the drug. She did give me a Z pack in case it is a sinus infection.
My question is did Xarelto cause any dry mouth or sinus to anyone else who is taking it? I looked at the side effects online and it seems that this is not one of them.

Any chance you're taking any other new meds that could cause this? I had issues with dry mouth when I was taking antidepressants (and lots of us do start those after PEs).
