By far the most common form of pulmonary embolism is a thromboembolism, which occurs when a blood clot, generally a venous thrombus, becomes dislodged from its site of formation and embolizes to the arterial blood supply of one of the lungs. Symptoms may include difficulty breathing, pain during breathing, and more rarely circulatory instability and death.
OK I know the standard flu shots don't have any affects on your INR, but how about the new N1H1, or the Hepatitis B vaccines. Does anyone know of any information on either of them? I'm scheduled to start my Hep b series this month and no one really has any information on what it might do to my INR. However I did have one of my fellow co-workers say after I start the series My hair might turn green and I could develop spots :)
I took a series of three in 1993 and my titer counts came right up.
I am letting a couple of my fastidious coworkers take their H1N1's and see if they grow a third hand.
Our regular flu shots came in last week...I'll take one in a week or two, if it hasn't laid anybody out.
