By far the most common form of pulmonary embolism is a thromboembolism, which occurs when a blood clot, generally a venous thrombus, becomes dislodged from its site of formation and embolizes to the arterial blood supply of one of the lungs. I was noticing my freckles were darker lately and blamed it all on the B.C. which does have that effect on some women.
But I recently found out that a side effect of coumadin is sun sensitivity, which means even if your just runningh errands or sitting by a window its much easier for sun damage to occur, and sun damage for us fair people = freckles n' moles.
So I just wanted to share that I bough a lotion that contains a sunscreen with an spf 15, I know lubriderm makes one the brand I got was called Eucerin, which is dermatologist recommended for damage and skin cancer prevention. I also have a face lotion from garnier nutrise that has an spf 30 in it.
I plan on keeping up with the sun protection, as I am planning on going to the dermatologist in Dec. to fade my spots with a creme.
So just some info for anyone who has noticed more spots lately or wants to prevent extra sun damage.

Three times in the past week, since it is cooler outside, I've gone out to sit. After 10 min, my forearms turn red and start to hurt.
The other day, my face turn bright red. My skin feels taut as if I have been on the beach (sun and wind).
I was driving back from a business trip yesterday and my left arm became red and painful.
I put sunscreen on today and it didn't seem to help. I purposely sat outside to test it. Duh.
It seems I get over a side effect (or get used to it) and another one pops up.
