By far the most common form of pulmonary embolism is a thromboembolism, which occurs when a blood clot, generally a venous thrombus, becomes dislodged from its site of formation and embolizes to the arterial blood supply of one of the lungs. Symptoms may include difficulty breathing, pain during breathing, and more rarely circulatory instability and death.
Hello my fellow Pulmonary Embolism survivors, things have been good lately. I Seen the blood doctor back on June 26th & she said that I have to stay on Xarelto until at least the end of November(6 months). I have to take a D-Dimer test about a week before I see her in November. If the D-Dimer test is fine I should be getting off the Xarelto. Ive been working out full time now(4-5 days a week). The only thing that is still bothering me is still having some lightheaded episodes here & there. My chest burns a little when Im really raising my heart rate. I got my heart rate up to 157 bpm and I was doing fine. This Xarelto makes tired when I take it, my joints hurt sometimes, mainly my knees( I Need Naproxen). Getting numbness in my left foot & left hand like I have a tourniquet at my knee and elbow. And I know its the Xarelto because I only get those symptoms 30mins after I take it. Gonna start running on the treadmill tonight so Im looking forward to see how I feel during that. Im turning 50 at the end of the month and I always said that I wanted to play Basketball on my 50th Birthday & I plan on doing it!! :)

I like you got this out of no where. No DNA markers or anything on the 24 tests they performed.
My PE was June 1, 2015. I am still in recovery. They said mine was caused by the hormones in my birth control pills. Like you I was coughing blood before I went to the hospital. I thought I pulled intercostal muscles.
I have to be on Coumadin for 6 months. Just got off of the Lovenox shots.
