Pulmonary Embolism Support Group
By far the most common form of pulmonary embolism is a thromboembolism, which occurs when a blood clot, generally a venous thrombus, becomes dislodged from its site of formation and embolizes to the arterial blood supply of one of the lungs. Symptoms may include difficulty breathing, pain during breathing, and more rarely circulatory instability and death.
The xrays showed a very small area of arthritis between two small bones near my wrist where the pain was centralized, So that was the dx.
I'm not happy with adding more vicodin (except for the relief of pain)---- esp. because of what it might do my INR---- which I'm due to test at home today.
At urgent care my INR was tested and it was well within range but hadn't added more vicodin then.
I'll call my pcp today and see what he says--- if he's in the office,
Fortunately it's my left wrist, Sigh.
