By far the most common form of pulmonary embolism is a thromboembolism, which occurs when a blood clot, generally a venous thrombus, becomes dislodged from its site of formation and embolizes to the arterial blood supply of one of the lungs. Symptoms may include difficulty breathing, pain during breathing, and more rarely circulatory instability and death.

I know there's a big one in CO. Utah and New Mexico have or had ones.

My aunt's house burned to the ground in Estes Park on Saturday in the Woodland Heights fire. She wasn't home and her neighbors got her cat out, so no loss of life. Her car is OK too. She had walked to church and didn't even have her ID or checkbook with her. Thankfully, she had insurance. Still, I can't imagine.

Toss---- ah, geeze. I was hoping to hear 'no one I know was affected' but we had a lot of smoke.

I'm sorry but it's good that she (and the cat) are o.k.

It's the same fire, but not her house. Hers was much further back in the trees off the main road. There's video to go with the still shot you pointed out on the Web pages for the Estes Park newspapers. At the beginning, the house is fine with the fire in the trees behind it. At the end, well ... you can see how it goes from that picture.

My in-laws also live in Estes Park, but at the extreme opposite end of town from where this fire was. Good thing, that, or it could have been doubly tragic.

Unfortunately there are quite a few in Colorado burning. We are dealing with smoke issues here about 40 miles away from Waldo fire. Trying to keep the lungs healthy.
