Pulmonary Embolism Support Group
By far the most common form of pulmonary embolism is a thromboembolism, which occurs when a blood clot, generally a venous thrombus, becomes dislodged from its site of formation and embolizes to the arterial blood supply of one of the lungs. Symptoms may include difficulty breathing, pain during breathing, and more rarely circulatory instability and death.
I had 6 bruises on my legs from the corners of the four poster bed....good thing I was not on coumadin.....but without the red blood cells, I still bruised badly. I also hit my head on a door.
If I had been on coumadin, I would have been admitted for multiple bleeds. There but for the grace of God.....
My Dad finally passed on Saturday. We are all relieved that his pain is over.
My condolences on the passing of your father. Hang in there!
I'm sorry for your loss , please accept my sympathy.
