Pulmonary Embolism Support Group
By far the most common form of pulmonary embolism is a thromboembolism, which occurs when a blood clot, generally a venous thrombus, becomes dislodged from its site of formation and embolizes to the arterial blood supply of one of the lungs. Symptoms may include difficulty breathing, pain during breathing, and more rarely circulatory instability and death.
The song is pretty terrible, but I found this useful : http://www.inc.com/melanie-curtin/neuroscience-says-listening-to-this-one-song-reduces-anxiety-by-up-to-65-percent.html
The song basically gradually slows down in a way that your body tries to mimic. I would play it in my bed while I tried to fall asleep and it did help.
I had an anxiety episode while on a day trip from Stillwater Ok to Fayetteville Ar yesterday. I replied to a recent post by Noodle which explains more on that.
The unknowns of PE and DVT can make us feel strange and that leads to some anxiety.
Just know that you will be fine. Know your recovery takes time and be positive. Trust in your medication and give yourself a talking to when you start to feel nervous.
Keep us posted and thank you for posting.

I am usually a more positive person but this is taking its toll on me as you both know.
I really am tired of not being able to do my regular stuff and having to ask others to help me.
I have a fractured plateau tibia by left outer knee. Thats how the blood clot started in my left calf...so I am hobbling around.
Good news is, my bone is healing according to Fridays Xrays done at Orthopeduc office.
Thank you again,
Raquel
But the thing to keep in mind is to always ALWAYS listen to your body and what it is telling you it needs. If you need to sleep or lie down, you stay home from work/school and do that. For me, if my chest is warm, no matter how comfy I am, I have to get in shorts, remove the blanket, and get an ice pack. Anxiety? Start drinking tons of cold water, put a wash cloth on the back of my neck, and put on a movie/video and hold my cat. Even if we hate asking for help or feeling like we are helpless, listening to our bodies is the best thing that we can do for ourselves. I may be staying home from work tomorrow if I feel like this again, just because I know that I shouldn't be doing too much if I'm in this pain.
